Bitch: A History

I was watching The Hour when a character used the word ‘bitch’ as a double entendre. Given the show is set in the 50s, I came to think when did bitch become and insult against women. So Google it was. I read a very well written article about it and had to share it here. Did you know the Romans were the first to use the term ‘son of a bitch’?
