About

Originally called ‘Les histoires de une Australienne godiche en France’ or, ‘The Stories of an inelegant Aussie Chick in France’. Then it was something about ‘Wine Movies and Travel’ after leaving France. Then when I got home, became a teacher, and moved to the sticks, I changed it to ‘Somewhere Rural’.

About this Blog:

For my travels, my hobbies, and those random other things I’d like to put on the internet.

  1. Hi! I’m the Community Manager of Ruba.com. We’re building a website to highlight some of the most interesting places travelers around the world have discovered. We’ve read hundreds of travel blogs and we think that yours is awesome!. We’d love to highlight excerpts from blogs like yours (assuming it’s OK with you of course) and to discuss other ways of tapping into your expertise if you are interested. I’m at erin@ruba.com.
    Thanks! 🙂

  2. I love this photo too – Pammukale is incredibly photogenic. I was lucky enough to be able to stay there till sunset to take this photo (after most of the tourists had left on their buses)
